TOKYO
Food
Andy Shin’s - a truly great restaurant that can loosen anyone up. VERY CASUAL, you kind of feel like you’re eating a bomb shelter – but I mean that in the best way possible – because the food is fantastic, as is the owner.

Moment
Meeting Caol Uno, fighter/fashion-icon, at his trendy little boutique;
Shopping – Japanese concept boutiques. They make no money, but they’re very cool.

Wandering
Harajuku has great rambling streets full of boutiques, restaurants, salons…..

The Tales
Andy Shin's Hinimoto is the best! It's located under the Yamanota tracks. Go here!
SHANGHAI
Drinks
The Bund; completely over the top club scenes that play the VIP game with you. Pretentious yes, but also kind of fun if you simply don’t want to talk to your work travel buddies anymore.

Cheep Goods
While it may seem sketchy, follow one of the guys who offer you fake bags and watches. You’ll be amazed at the back alley houses you’re led into. And yes, people live in them!
A view form a random club on the Bund. Nice background for a cocktail!
SEOUL
Yes, this is where I went shopping for "Prada". I did see rats.....
Celebrity Culture
From what I’ve seen, the Korea obsession with their celebrities is, for Asia, as close to Hollywood as you get. And it's because they love "chick ficks". For instance, did you know The Lake House (with Sandra and Keanu) was actually a Korean film first???   (My simple recap of Asian film types; Korea = Romance; Hong Kong = Mobster; Japan = Horror, China = Fantasy; now you know)

Food
Korean BBQ - Sizzling meat and Kimchee

Shopping
Great local style leads to great selection in Boutiques
Now I love Karaoke in every Asian city; but I REALLY love Karaoke in Korea.
No Title IX here! The writing on the backboard in this public basketball court says "beginners and women only".
While you can't tell in the picture, it was snowing! This is one of the shopping centers in Seoul - always great fashion finds to be had.
One of my "favorite" things about China. A random trash pile next to one of the "Premium" retail spots.
Suzhou, Shantou, Schenzhen…… Basically any factory town that starts with “S”
Local Restaurants
You’ll never know what you’re eating, but isn’t that half the adventure?

Massage Parlors
Exceedingly sketchy, but where else can you get a two hour foot massage for $6 US.

Appreciation for your lifestyle and work environment
Honestly, while standards are good and clean in Nike factories, the industrial landscape of China is grim, grim, grim (from my narrow perspective anyway)
So the food in the two pictures at the top is pretty obvious - but trust me, it's not all like that!
I keep talking about the "BIG" China hotels - wel here is an example of how they all kind of look alike! They're all different chains in different cities. Talk about no brand identity!
Factory life is to the right. That camo stuff you see is actually part of my product line!
I especially like the "public reminder" about having a good attitude!
Below and to the left are some "nightlife" oprions in the smaller cities (all of which have 2+ million people mind you). The choice is usually drink or eat. And of course there are "hostess" bars, but as you can imagine, those are geared toward the businessMEN.
